The game
Elysian Realms opens no network connections of its own. It does not contact a server of ours at startup, during play, or on exit — there is none to contact, because we run none. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no telemetry of any kind.
The one exception, and only on Steam. The Steam version asks the Steam client to keep a copy of your save in Steam Cloud, and to record seven numbers as Steam stats: enemies defeated, bosses defeated, XP earned, best wave, realms held, deeds earned, and how much of the Skill Tree is grown. That goes to Valve under Valve's privacy policy, not to us. We never see it with your name on it.
Both can be switched off — Steam Cloud from the game's Properties in your Steam library, or for your whole account in Steam's settings — and with it off the game behaves exactly as it did before, saving only to your own computer. The browser demo and every build bought anywhere other than Steam do neither of these things at all.
Your profiles, settings, saved runs and leaderboard entries are written to your own computer. The leaderboards are local: they rank the profiles on that machine, and nothing is uploaded or compared with anyone else.
Apart from that Steam copy, nothing in the game is sent anywhere — so there is nothing of yours for us to give you a copy of, correct or delete, because we hold none of it. To remove it all, delete the game and its saved data; the in-game Options screen also resets any profile outright, and the Steam Cloud copy can be deleted through Steam.
If the game is bought through a store such as Steam, that store handles the purchase and runs under its own privacy policy. That is between you and them; no information reaches the developer beyond what any storefront reports to any developer, which is aggregate sales figures with no names attached.
This website
This site sets no cookies. It loads no third-party scripts, no advertising, no analytics and no embedded players, so nothing here tracks you across other sites. The fonts and the music are served from this domain.
Like every website, the server that delivers these pages keeps short-lived technical logs of requests — the page asked for, an IP address, a browser identifier — which is how a web server works at all. They are used to keep the site running and to see roughly how many people visit. They are not sold, shared, or linked to anything identifying you.
The email list
If you enter your address on the home page, it is used for one message, on release day, and nothing else. It is not sold, rented or shared. Every message carries a one-click unsubscribe, and you can ask for your address to be removed at any time by writing to the address below.
The list is not yet open; the form on the home page sends nothing.
Children
The game is made with and for children and collects nothing from anyone, of any age. The email form is the only place this site accepts input, and it is intended for adults; if you are under 13, please do not enter an address without a parent.
